Strongest before the problem is clean.

I build whole product systems: auth, data models, AI agent loops, payments, the parts users never see. I use coding agents to move fast without handing off the architecture, security, or tests.

What I want to build next.

Early engineering roles at AI-native startups, remote. Founding engineer, second hire, MTS. I want a role where one person still owns whole systems: a real product with real users, a hard, ambiguous problem, and a quality bar that doesn’t move. My best work happens in the mess. Ambiguity, AI-generated chaos, a half-built prototype that has to become something you can ship.

I use agents to accelerate implementation; I own the architecture, review, verification, and delivery. If you’re hiring an early engineer who can move at AI speed without handing over judgment, get in touch.

Things I’ve shipped

Live products, open source, and tools built to solve a real problem in front of me.

Shmidge

Auptim · founding engineer

Auptim's live AI project-management product, with an AI discovery → spec → backlog pipeline. It started as a fast AI-assisted build, and I took it to a tested production system. I rebuilt the AI layer from one-shot JSON into typed, tool-driven agent runtimes with recoverable steps, and moved authorization and tenant scoping into server-derived state backed by row-level security. I rebuilt the GitHub integration around GitHub App installs and signed callback state, and moved coding-agent execution into a local companion bound to a user, device, and repo. An integration and regression suite covers all of it.

scip-query

open source · founder

Open-source code intelligence for AI coding agents. It indexes a repo with SCIP and answers structural questions: where a symbol is defined, what references it, the blast radius of a change, and where the code is quietly duplicating itself. Then it gates a diff before it ships, catching the specific ways agents rot a codebase, like re-implemented helpers, half-finished migrations, and stale docs. I run it against every change in my own agent loop.

Internal Amazon tools

Amazon · 2021 – 2025 · self-initiated

Four ops tools, built unprompted; I taught myself to code to ship them. The most involved repurposes the facility's internal bulletin-board TV system: an hourly job that pulls live bin-availability data, runs the analysis, and pushes per-zone slides to the screens in each stow corral, or to formatted PDFs for the crews who'd rather print. Where the existing system only points operators to a broad aisle range, mine names the exact bins with open space, and it's still in use at my old FC. Its bin-availability algorithm was later adopted into a guided-stow scanner used nationwide, and a separate operations dashboard tool I built runs nationwide too. The rest quantified a year of sortation-machine jams in about a minute and produced slide decks still used in meetings.

Synth Runner

The Production House · technical lead

A complete Three.js game I conceived and built as the studio's engineer on a two-person team, shipped cross-platform to web, desktop, and mobile from one codebase. Real physics, leaderboards, accounts, and a custom build pipeline that fans out to Electron and Capacitor.

Local-LLM quantization

open source · contributor

An open-source project is building a new quantization format for AMD ROCm hardware. I didn't start it and it isn't mine, but I've contributed to the format and made nine FP4 quantizations of popular models for it: Qwen3, Deckard, and Nex variants with MTP self-speculation, tuned for AMD Strix Halo.

On the shelf

Two products I built start to finish, then set down. Both reached robust, working builds, with real auth and multi-tenant data models, before they were shelved ahead of launch. I'll pull them back off the shelf whenever they're worth pursuing.

BarnPulse

Auptim · founding engineer

Stable-management platform: horse tracking and incident reporting. A feature-rich, working build on a multi-tenant data model.

On Main

Auptim · founding engineer · solo build

A multi-tenant booking marketplace, architected and built solo on row-level security and 100+ migrations. The Stripe Connect payments stack is fully built, though not yet live: businesses onboard via Stripe Express, and customers save a card once to reuse across the platform. LangChain/OpenAI agentic flows handle discovery and routing. It's a mostly complete build, not yet shipped to real users.

  1. Oct 2025 – Now

    Founding Software Engineer · Auptim

    primary author · architecture

Founding engineer on Shmidge, Auptim's live AI project-management product. I took it from a fast AI-assisted build to a tested production system. I also built two more prototypes at Auptim: one solo from scratch (On Main), and one taken to a feature-rich pre-launch state (BarnPulse).

  2. 2024 – Now

Technical Lead · The Production House

    engineer · two-person studio

An independent game studio. I'm the engineer on a two-person team: I conceived and built Synth Runner and shipped it cross-platform to web, desktop, and mobile, with the studio's founder shaping its direction throughout. Now building Mid Manager, a high-fidelity warehouse-inbound simulation.

  3. Ongoing

    Freelance Web Developer

    solo · client sites

Full client sites across several industries: Poorman Legal (law), CameraWorks Media (real estate), and Counseling 2 Thrive (counseling).

  4. 2021 – 2025

Operations & Internal Tooling · Amazon

    self-taught · internal tools

Built tools nobody assigned, shipped to fulfillment centers across North America. Taught myself to code on the job.

Reality over status.
Let’s build something real.
